Summary

Introduced with the Customs Tariff Amendment (Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation) Bill 2014 to give effect to Australia’s obligations under Chapter 3 of the Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement, the bill amends the

Customs Act 1901
to: provide preferential rates of duty for Korean originating goods; and impose certain obligations on exporters and producers of Australian goods who claim preferential tariff treatment.
